Thank you to all the schools and parents who have helped transport the children to training and are here supporting them
on the day. They have worked really hard to get to this point so make lots of noise and cheer them on.
We are super proud of them all and looking forward to a great day!
The purpose of the Battle of the Schools competition is to introduce children to track cycling here at the Avantidrome and for them to experience the thrill of racing and training on our world class facility.
It’s open to all schools – Year groups 5 through 8 and is a FUN event first and foremost. It is about good sportsmanship and letting the children learn and experience cycling. That said, on competition day there will be nothing wrong with wanting to win!
When: Saturday 1st December 2018. 9am – 4pm. Training starts 28th October.
Entries close: Friday 21st September
For all enquiries and to enter email Colin Dixon: email@example.com
Important Note: Teams comprising of already accredited children who do not require the training days still need to complete the entry form, but these forms do not need to be returned until 9th November. A session will be organised for these teams to record a Qualifying time. Teams will not be accepted after this date!!
For these teams there will be a charge of $10 per rider on the day to compete at the Battle of the Schools 2018 Finals Day on 1st December.
A heartfelt thanks to Mega Mitre 10 Cambridge for their generous support of this event
